Information Gathering - Let's Get Struck into the Conmen

On the 22nd October 2011, The Age Investigations Department ran an article about Gambling ‘Scam’ Sites. Based on the Age article, I wrote and sent an email to the suspected scammers ( although I prefer to use the term conmen), that were mentioned in the Age report. A copy of that email is at http://bit.ly/qj8qHA. The only response I received back from the suspected conmen was a one-liner that made no sense to me. Instantly alarms bell ring!

To assist the Age Investigation guys, I would like any of you who have been caught out by any shady conmen that operate in the racing industry, to let me know of your experience. By caught out I mean:

1. A failure of any organisation or person who sell tips, to honour any guarantees that they have made, in advertising or verbal. ‘For example, if you’re not happy after 14 days we will give you a full refund.’

2. A failure of any organisation or person who sells tips, to live up to their advertising claims. ‘For example, this proven system achieves an 80% profit.’

3. A failure of any organisation or person who sells tips, who will not give you a free trail of their product unless you provide your credit card or banking details first.

4. A failure of any organisation or person who sells tips, who in your experience has/is operating in an unethical or criminal way.

With a bit of luck the Age guys might be able to nail some of these conmen that give the racing game a bad name.

As most of you would know from my Ramblings at http://bit.ly/qYDCzI, I’m very much convinced that anyone who sells tips is only selling them to you to make up for their own losses. In other words their tips are no good. As I've said on a number of occasions, if you wish to subscribe to any tipping services, always ask for a six month free trail first, so as you can evaluate how good the service is. Never ever take their word for it. DO NOT pay any money up front, or put forward your credit details. Any organisation or person selling tips who won't grant you a free six month trail, has no faith in their ability to deliver on what they're advertising, therefore neither should you.
